Overview
StarBoy is a platformer released on the Itch.io service and features six levels filled with platforming challenges and collectibles. The alien protagonist, StarBoy, crashes on an Earth-like planet and must return home by reaching his ship and recharging its batteries.
The player can navigate the world with common skills like wall-jumps but is also able to absorb light sources for the ability to temporarily walk on air. Light sources, once absorbed, will only stay with StarBoy for a short duration, requiring him to move quickly. If the player finds a collectible, they must touch "safe" ground before it'll count towards their total: certain areas of the game are filled with blocks that do not qualify as safe, requiring the player make it to the end of the area before their collectibles are saved.
