    STABO Harness

    The STABO Harness was used during the Vietnam War period, mainly by US Paratroopers and Special Forces. It was used for both mounting Load Bearing Equipment and for extraction of the operator. It's mainly made of nylon. The two straps on top cover the operators shoulders and torso while the lower ones travel between the operator's legs, gripping the user completely from all points.
     
    This harness can most notably be seen in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence and Metal Gear Online.
    In Metal Gear Solid 3, Unless the player has acquired and put on a special costume (such as the scientist/officer uniforms) Snake will always have his STABO harness on him. On his harness, he has;
     
    -A leather US GI M1911A1 holster;
    -Ammo pouches;
     -Bedroll;
    -Canteen;
    -CQC Knife;
    -Codec;
