Spin Dig Galaxy is the third galaxy in World 1 to be unlocked. The galaxy is unlocked by collecting three stars and obtaining at least one star from Yoshi Star Galaxy. Most of the planets in this galaxy seem to appear as dirt. This galaxy also introduces the Spin Drill which Mario can dig into the ground and come on the other side of the planet. The Spin Drill can also be used to dig into underground areas or secret areas.
Planets
When Mario first enters the galaxy he lands on a small planet completely consisting of dirt. There are three towers of dirt attached to the planet which can only be gained by using a Spin Drill. The second planet in the galaxy looks like a double sided peanut shaped platform with two sides. This is surrounded with a tall, steel fence. Mario can once use the Spin Drill to get to the other side of the planet.
