can i ask this withought any responses like "what gender are you" or something abusive, im also not  mocking haveing a go or anything its just a serious question. snake by looks is male with  mustache  deep voice  and generally looks and acts like a guy, but he is a clone and cant pass on dna  or have children so i would think   he wouldn't have  the ......equipment if you get me. once again  this is a serious question  and i do not mean to cause offense so please be forgiveing with responces

But remember in MGS 4 when Naomi was going to give Snake a body examine he was reluctant and when they cut away and came back Naomi was in tears and surprised. Also in MGS2 when Raiden was first talking to the president, the pres. grabbed Raidens balls to check that if it was Snake or not. I dont think America would vote for a dick grabbing president. And at the end of MGS 1 Snake would throw Meryl into doggystyle right away but he cant because Snake has no dick.

I think he should be listed as male. Regardless of his actual genitalia, you refer to someone by the gender they wish to be called. You would refer to a pre operation transgender by the gender they wish to become, e.g. a male wishing to become a female you would call her or she. The same goes for snake, people refer to him as male, therefore we can assume he wants to be called a male, and therefore he should be listed on the page as a male.

When in doubt, look at what the character "seems to be" (unless it's one of those transsexual cases like Poison). Many kiddie/cartoon characters have no genitalia so you go with how they're portrayed. It's better than "well he has no male genitalia, so let's make it a she or an it"
