Does SNOW-9 come from Cloud Nine? - A Snatcher Review 0

"Adventure"? Certainly! "Cyberpunk"? Not so much.   Since my last review was about an extremely expensive and difficult to acquire game, I thought it would be best to cover a similarly rare and expensive game. The logic of winners, I assure you. But as with my last review--and I'll be up front with you about this--this is another game worth the expense. And this time, it's in English!  Say "Konami Omni" ten times fast.     Hideo Kojima's Snatcher is an odd bird. It does not fall wi...

Great Story and Characters But That Gameplay... 0

Snatcher is a bit of a rarity in America.  I was only aware of it because I loved adventure games as a kid and owned a Sega CD.  I really enjoyed this game then but I hadn't played it in years and was interested in whether I still felt the same way.  In terms of story and the characters, this game is still great.  But the gameplay is archaic and very passive.  This is more of an interactive story then a game with a story.   Snatcher is essentially a retelling of Blade Runner albeit with a much l...

For those that thought the Sega CD wasn't worth buying never played this. 0

Never heard of Snatcher before? If you answered no, you missed out on a true cyberpunk masterpiece and should hang your head in shame, But I can’t totally blame you if you didn't as this little gem got a European release in December 1994 during the last months of the Sega CD short life span and wasn't given a port to any other console in the U.K so not a lot of people got the chance to play it. This game was written and directed by Hideo Kojima (creator of the metal gear series) and this is one ...

    A Cyberpunk Masterpiece Revived 0

Snatcher, the cyberpunk masterpiece directed by Hideo Kojima, made its way to the Sega Saturn in 1996, several years after its original release on other platforms. This adaptation brought the gripping narrative, atmospheric visuals, and innovative gameplay to a new audience while facing the technical challenges of Saturn's hardware. One of the defining characteristics of Snatcher on the Sega Saturn is its unique visual style. The game blends pixel art with detailed character portraits and atmosph...

Snatcher- Kojima's Cyberpunk Adventure Gem 0

It is a difficult task to put in words how fantastic Hideo Kojima's Snatcher is. Kojima went to University to study film, which is woven into this game, thus allowing it to play out like a full fledged interactive mystery adventure. This game embodies the best parts about watching a film and brings them to the next level. The music is outstanding and really contributes to the atmosphere and environments. Whether it is the eerie sounds in places Gillian is investigating, to the heart racing music...
