Through as-yet unrevealed circumstances, Sill was captured & sold at a slave auction where she was bought by Rance. While a spell of obedience was cast upon her, it apparently wore off before she came into Rance's possession. Despite this, she has remained devoted to him despite his often cruel treatment of her.
Sill was born in the magic-based kingdom of Zeth, and as such she is skilled in the use of healing & offensive magic which she uses to aid Rance in his quests. Sill also tends Rance's domestic needs such as cooking and cleaning for him. She has a mild-temperament, gentle-nature & tends to be compassionate towards others and sometimes reins in Rance's more unscrupulous behaviour. Although Rance often mistreats her, it is strongly implied that he genuinely cares about her.
