Phantasm V: Ravager out this year!!

I had to look this up and yeah.... I mean I didn't really like the first Phantasm but I'm amazed.

I want to say there was a Tales From the Crypt with Billy fucking Zane of all people that was in the unofficial or official prequel to Bordello of Blood? Only because that blood cannister is around in Bordello and also in the movie with Billy Zane. God I don't know but yeah, Billy Zane.

Best lineup of games in quite a while. Really enjoyed this UPF. I was actually pretty impressed with the Lynx - cool system.

Them mentioning Second Life and trying to describe just how far down the hole of insanity it reaches made me think of this clip:

Judging by the comments, I guess I'm the only one who cant get the video to play? I've never had that problem before on this site. Its just an inactive black box when I click play. I tried downloading but the quality is terrible.

I'm with Jeff on consoles in arcades. It just doesn't feel right. There was an arcade in the mall in this town with a Wii set up in front of a sofa, with all of the controllers tethered to the wall. It was weird.

This was one hell of a UPF episode! Those wonderful, beautiful people responsible for Terrordrome stole my fucking dreams. Great selection of horror icons and so very well executed. Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention. On that note: I think the only series I have absolutely no clue about is Candyman and I don't recall where "that old dude" was even from. I think I'm going to give Candyman a shot even though it sounds so stupid. Then again, what "cult horror" movie doesn't?

Fun and entertaining as the Re-animator series is, the original Lovecraft story is much closer to actual horror and well worth reading as well. Some of that good old, often ignored casual 20th century racism nonwithstanding.

Edit: Right, that other series is Phantasm as the comments could've told me. That completely passed me by, never even heard of it.

There actually are Flappy Bird arcade cabinets. They look different than the one in there, but they exist.

Seeing all those super nintendo cartridges really makes me wish I had kept all that stuff from when I was a super young kid. I still have my n64 and gamecube but that snes... oh man I am getting old man nostalgia hardcore.

I've been playing New Retro Arcade most of today and it's fantastic. There's a few tapes lying around in weird places too (with the default Arcade setup they suggest) - be sure to look around everywhere. I've managed to come across Back in Black and Free Bird so far, amongst a bunch of other cool stuff.

Definitely way into it though. It's really selling me on VR despite me having never used a VR headset for myself. I'm incredibly tempted to just play through one or two of those classic NES games on there. The auto-savestates when you pull a cart are a great touch. Also you can turn on artificial lighting on the Game Boys if you don't want to hold it under a light source, although it's a neat touch.

You guys need to have some horror movie nights. I think you'd probably have a lot of fun with that.

As a coop shooter, Arma 3 is unrivaled. There's nothing like it, nothing even tries to be it. It's what I thought the battlefield series would develop into: huge, moddable, realistic. It's a fantastic game, and honestly I find the movement much better in 3 than 2. Leaps and bounds better, you can sprint and jump over things.

Going off the comments that the crew made, I wonder if they only count slasher films as horror. I personally find the slasher genre as the most boring type of horror. I do love a good psychological horror movie though.

Prometheus absolutely does ruin the original Alien, by taking the Space Jockey -- most satisfyingly mysterious part of the whole Alien mythology -- and explaining that it's just a huge jacked dude with blue skin wearing a dumb suit. Fuck you Prometheus, I hate you so much for existing.

I couldn't help giggling a bit whenever someone tried to explain the characters' backgrounds. I know Jason is the only real horror fan there so I don't really expect the other dudes to know that stuff, but damn if it wasn't funny hearing them fuck it up. :P

Regarding Arma videos and "Dan Teasdale's brother" on Youtube, Jeff is referring to Beagle and his old channel. The "SHACKCOPS" videos are all great.

James Rolfe (aka, Angry Video Game Nerd) has done/still doing some pretty interesting commentary on every Friday the 13th film. The videos are definitely worth watching; for even fans of the series @unastrike, or for those that don't know anything about Jason Voorhees.
