Oh man how do they get to you can't do that on television? Wow...such a strange show that was likely a time and place thing....hmm oh and ...naaa that quest thankfully died a long time ago....and oh boy gaming definitions....I always thought of RPG's as being more story focused like adventure games and stats being less important for making it an RPG (but being the difference between an RPG and an adventure game). Adventure game = kings quest. RPG = planescape torment. Hard to understand but these I see as really close to each other...but both very different than say a platforming game (Mario) or a fighting game where the focus is not on the story but the mechanics. And hey Vinny - we can all hope Bernie grows up like bands do and learns he has to eat. Capitalism works.

It isnt truly Friday until the Beastcast drops. Aww yeah!

On the EA thing instead of a watermark you can use a clear audio message in the beginning of the video.

I can't think of dumping slime without thinking of Get Your Own Back, a 90s kids show in the UK where children competed for the chance to submit an elder to the "Gunk Dunk" (usually for some terrible crime such as making them do homework or practise their musical instrument).

I must be on the only person who didn't really have a problem with Aiden Pearce, sure that game had its problems, was marketed oddly and was ultimately repetitive and boring, but I didn't think he was particularly poorly characterized.

For some personal background, MGS2 is favourite in the series, quite enjoyed Deus Ex Invisible war. I like Geralts voice.

Here we go with the correction on the correction - the laches defense (the defense for not enforcing something) does apply to copyrights as well as trademarks. This is what I do for a living as I am an intellectual property lawyer. It is not a particular part of copyright law (the way it is of trademark) but the general civil law laches defense does still apply. More about knowing a particular instance and not doing anything and a defense yes (which is a little different than in trademark), it can still be used. If they know of tons of people breaking the copyright and try to sue you - this is a defense.

It was actually the Hilarious House of Frightenstein. It featured the "Wolfman" who as a popular DJ of his era. I used to watch the show for some weird reason but I think Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Stewardesses was better.

RE: HDMI BS with the ps4 pro. I also have a LG G6. That TV has issues with 4k hmdi 2.2. When audio format/rez changes on all my 4k devices (xbox one s, ps4 pro, TiVo bolt, firetv, 4k Samsung bluray, PC) i get screen issues. I was assuming it was my AVR (which i got at the same time as the TV - denon AVR-X7200WA.)

Thanks as always for this podcast. Although I sometimes forget to comment I just want to let you guys know that this has been my favorite ongoing podcast for well over a year. I miss Austin a little bit but you guys have picked up the slack better than I could have ever hoped for. The talk of You Can't Do That On Television really bowled me over this week. Canadians man, they had TV figured out even back then.

These days whenever I hear about Punk fans trashing bands who sell out I think of the song Sellout by Bigwig from one of my favorite Punk records of 99'. Way better than the Reel Big Fish song in my opinion but maybe it's weird to compare it to a very blatant Ska song.

"Slime them back to the Stone Age" almost made me crash my car.

Walking simulator isn't necessarily a negative thing. I enjoy a lot of walking simulators. The reason being is that the pace is intentionally slowed and the environment/story telling become the stars of the show. And *walking* is often times the ONLY thing you do in these games. So yeah, I'm totally fine with the phrase and categorizing it as such.
