The saying goes both ways, the way I heard it. "In like a Lion, out like a Lamb" means the month starts rough weather wise but usually ends up calmer going into April. "In like a Lamb, out like a Lion" means the opposite! Fun!

This is the perfect thing to listen to on a day trapped at home due to the snow!

You get palico's when playing with 2 hunters to help, and you run less risk of carting out ;)

And of course you can always SOS flare.

I had a big case of visual confusion when Alex said Into The Breach is hard. I've seen major complaints including myself that the game is extremely easy and shallow. You shouldn't be able to beat a roguelike on the first try. Yet the game lacks any challenge that i've managed to do so.

Maybe the review version played different if they received a code early?

@zolbek: Maybe you just know roguelikes really well and that experience carries over? Kind of like how Souls fans say your first Souls game is always the hardest.

To, the beastcrew Activision made 4.2 Billion dollars on microtransactions across all their games with microtractions in 2017, loot boxes or whatever you want to call them are most likely not going anywhere.

Dan is 1000% right about Mortal Kombat’s lore it’s so fucking mental particularly around 4 that it overtook Street Fighter for little kid me. As much as I love Virtua Fighter I can’t help but feel like Tekken and MK’s(/Injustice) committing to swimming in their retarded obnoxiousness and not taking themselves so EVO serious is why they are where they are now. MK legit rivals Metal Gear as gaming a best lore it’s like the Fast and Furious of games.

I see MK:A as the title image so I know we're about to talk about the best video game movie yet made.

I'm also kind of taken aback by how disinterested Dan is in the new Kirby. I always found those titles to be much stronger than the Mario and Zelda games overall. They're just so perfectly enjoyable and relaxing.

@ybbaaabby When GTA: San Andreas came out, I was home from college and my younger brother was still in high school. We went to Best Buy and each paid for half of it. My brother has always looked young (he's almost 30 and still gets carded at bars) and the cashier gave me a really dirty look, like I was buying my brother beer and cigarettes or something.

That's the only time I remember a cashier caring about someone buying an M rated game.

When I worked at EB Games, I made many children embarrassed and angry by pointing out the ratings on MA-rated games to their ready-to-purchase parents. Saying things out loud in a store such as "Use of Drugs and Alcohol, Sexual situations" Many parents became SHOCKED at the notion of their child playing such games and swiftly told their offspring to either pick something else or they are leaving. Did I lose a sale once in a while? Yeah, sure. But who gives a shit. More often than not after that, those parents would come back and buy other stuff because they trusted me as a store Manager, instead of going right next door to Walmart to save a few pennies.

Just thought I would clarify in the comments that the government absolutely cannot ban the sale of video games to minors. That would be a violation of the 1st Amendment as held in Brown v. Entertainment Merchants Association. Stores not selling M rated games to children is a store policy, and helps to keep parent groups off of their backs.

Prediction for next ep: Jeff explains that he did in fact tell Vinny that he was going to Florida and wouldn't be on this episode. Vinny pretends he's got no idea what Jeff is talking about, indignant.

I'm not seeing more recent years show up. But this whole notion of "kids buying violent games" is hilarious, because year after year, it's been shown that sellers of video games do much better than sellers of other M-equivalent rated media.

Vinny has connected the dots on why Abby likes the boring WWII shooters and none of them (or me) care. It all makes sense now!

The way Abby feels about Just Go With It is how I feel about Mr. Deeds. It's really dumb but just has this silly, kinda innocent charm about it that I like.

The Annihilation movie is pretty mediocre, very little of it comes from the book. I think a straight adaptation of the book would have made a better sci-fi/suspense movie.

It does look nice and the bear scene is great. Unfortunately overall it's too long, has a lot of padding, very predictable, and makes unnecessary changes from the book.

I'm pretty pissed that Annihilation won't come to theaters here. Such a bummer.

@gwenners: It's funny, it immediately reminded me of the time Patrick uber-confidently, summarily wrote off the idea that Microsoft would ever walk back the always online stuff and like, seemingly minutes after the podcast dropped they did just that. Obviously that situation is WAY less important than this one, but it made me laugh in the same kind of way. What a different just a few short hours can make.

Looking forward to listening - I'm positive that Mortal Kombat is the single dumbest thing that I know almost everything about, and I love hearing people talk about it.

When I worked at Toys R Us when I scanned an M-rated game a prompt would come up to enter a birthdate so if the kid looked under 17 I'd either ask for an ID or make them get their parents. I actually had a couple parents thank me for doing it, even if the kid was unhappy about it.

@jetlag: I thiink anyone and everyone REMOTELY familiar with all of the GB Staff and Crew know that every single one of them vehemently opposes all forms of slavery with every fiber of their being.

That said, Bombcasts and Beastcasts are unscripted and uncut, and that's great, because it allows the audience to speak up if any of the casters phrase their thoughts poorly or speak on a position without knowing much about that subject.

The Fountain is one of my top 5 favorite movies.
