and here I was debating on if I should watch westworld or play some other game while waiting for jeff's quick look for titan fall 2

After playing through Final fantasy 13 this year, I kinda like Lightning as a character.

Keep in mind the only Final Fantasy games I have ever played were 7,8 and 13.

This game has the best localization I've seen in years. The English VA is extremely well done, and the writing is very sharp and smart and (legitimately) funny. Pure, wonderful Final Fantasy fanservice.

We all make mistakes. Play Final Fantasy VI at some point.

I haven't watched the video yet but boy that chibi Valefor is so cute.

I actually have it on my SNES emulator. Just been putting it off like I have every other RPG in my backlog.

I really wanna pick up this game, but I'm afraid there's no way i'd have time to get through it all before XV releases :(

Tactics is the only one of these suggestions that has a comparable character.

I imagined that catuars sound more like Elmo, so this is automatically bad.

I think I might officially not care about final fantasy at all anymore. I thought I'd love everything about this game but I couldn't even care enough to finish the demo.

I played the demo and it seems okay, but it is releasing at such an awkward time. FFXV comes out in a month and I seriously doubt I could finish this before that comes out, which I am way more interested in playing.

Releasing a game that is mostly targeting FF fans right before a major FF launch seems a really weird thing to do, even if gameplay-wise they are quite different.

This game has some of the best humor ever in a jRPG. Whoever did the localization should be commended.

The battle system is fun, the silly puns are actually well done.

The plot is absolutely nonsensical so far and I'm not sure it'll get any better.

Fastforwarded randomly to the part where they found chibi Yuna. Instantly sold on this game.

It's cool that he's gonna be in this, but now that Disney has finally given the OK to put him in a non-KH Square Enix product, I'm more excited at the prospect of him appearing in Dissidia somewhere down the line.

Those big versions of the characters look much weirder than the chibis, they still have oversized heads...

The Plumed Knight sounds like Liara from mass effect, right?

I know that I am likely the only person who cares about this, but it is also implied in FFXIV (the newer MMO) that all of the FF games take place in a multiverse.

Around 2:15, in that village I could have sworn that's literally the exact angle and building arrangement of what that village right outside of Midgar looked like in FFVII.

Turns out it's close but not quite the same.

I wasn't too sure about the small character look, but in seeing how it plays into the combat I can work with that.

@brad Refia is from the DS version of FF3, they gave the 4 main characters in that game new designs, names and a bit of backstory with the remake. She's one of the 4.

So they are brother and sister? So you are telling me that there is no sexual tension between the two lead characters? Maybe they can work it in somehow.

It's really interesting seeing people associate this style with Funko Pop - I see it and immediately think of Nendoroids...

Final Fantasy V?

It's okay, but that's mostly because of the job system. The plot is middling.

Did you mean Final Fantasy IX? (Tactics & VI are still the best two.)

I was too intimidated to play the NES/SNES ones as a kid. The first I played was 7 (mostly due to the hype around it). Then I played 8 and maybe even liked that one more. The 13 series I played this year and enjoyed them. I have had plans to go back and play the "good" ones but I have so many more recent games to play. Like The Witcher.

Why were they so lazy to make cloud and aerith have the same face ... It's not something I like is when male characters look like female characters it just isn't right and I thought it was a girl until he started talking. I like the art when they are Norma sized but when they become chili It is awful looking
