Wow that Spider-Man 2 demo is early. No Toby, no Bruce Campbell, webs go to the sky, squirrel suit, etc.

As someone who grew up playing both this Spider-Man game and the one based on the movie, they have nothing to do with one another. I thought they were joking about thinking they were linked for a long time...

I can't believe they thought that Spider-Man 2 game was a PS2 game at first...

Ikr I always expect these to be like 90 minutes at a minimum :(

I doubt anyone reads these but if Brad, or anyone reading this honestly, is interested in the older Dragon Quest games from the SNES era, they were re-released on the DS in an enhanced form. I recommend 5 as it has perhaps one of the most unique plot-lines of any JRPG I have ever played. You basically follow the protagonist through various moments of his life, from childhood, to adulthood, and eventually becoming a parent. It's real cool and I think too many western JRPG fans are sleeping on this game and the series in general.

In defense of Spidey's web dome technique, spider silk can have a tensile stength of like a gigapascal.

This is easily my favourite feature on the site! I'd love to see these and game tapes on a more regular basis.

I think we can stop covering these PS1 demo discs. They just seem so boring.

Aw man, that was disappointingly short and lacked the usual zany Playstation stuff. But at least we got to see some Barbie action and I got a laugh from Ben's combined 10 minutes of demo playing.

Hope we get a new meaty episode soon!

If I remember right, I think OPM alternated between PS1 and PS2 discs for a while. This might have been a month where they had the PS1 disc.

they should screen these beforehand to make sure there are videos in there. That is always te best part of demo derby, not the demos themselves.

There were two games with Spider-Man 2 in the title, and the one they played is 100% the PS1 game Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro and not the game with the awesome swinging based on the Sam Rami movie Spider-Man 2.

Hhhh-- Tekken 3 is so good and a nostalgic hit for me. Shame the demo was so limited, but I'm sure we'll see it on Ranking of Fighters some day.

Also had to do a triple take on the Spiderman game because I was so sure it wasn't the ps2 game but was also not sure if I just had rose tinted glasses on.

Edit: Funny to me that Syphon Filter had an Uncharted 2 train level and was developed by the studio that is doing Days Gone, clearly inspired by The Last Of Us, and also coincidentally did the Vita Uncharted games.
Feels like we've come full circle in a roundabout way.

And yeah as others have said, this is the sequel to good for the time but poorly ages PS1 spiderman, I think this might have still been, or at least conceived of, prior to the Sam Remy movie.

I miss Dan in these. West coast should send some discs to the east coast for a change...
