Man, I find this game incredibly boring to watch, but I'm guessing it's a lot more fun for folks who are into wrestling.

I fucking love this feature. Dan waxing poetic about wrestling while simultaneously teaching Abby (and me) about the weirdest shit ever while Alex plays a shitty wrestling game? KEEP. THIS. GOING. PLEASE.

Vinny always gets the A

Fun fact about the whole Cody "Rhodes" name thing (which I think Dan was gonna mention). Cody can't use his actual last name, "Rhodes," for other promotions, but his wife, Brandi Rhodes, can use the name "Rhodes" in her introductions. So the announcer generally says "The American Nightmare, Cody, with his wife Brandi Rhodes."

Yet you've stuck it out for three episodes (I'm just assuming of course). Why?

I am happy with the back and forth. Dan and Alex talking to Abby and Vinny about all the random dumb stuff in wrestling is very entertaining. The gameplay though..very meh.

What I will say though is it could really use a 'cheats on' mode. Like if the point is to talk wrestling and see the ridiculous story-lines in these games..then we are not playing them for the game-play right? Especially when a lot of these games stories force you into matches that can randomly take 20 minutes (Re:tag team matches/ladder matches ect). If these games have cheat codes, or game-sharks or any of that, by all means turn-em-on! The sooner we get through the matches and to the cut-scenes the better for this IMO.

As a postal worker getting flooded with hundreds of giant packages after Wrestlemania sounds like the worst.

The best part of this video is when Dan comes up with a dumb fake thing that he thinks sounds so ridiculous that Abby wouldn't believe it, and she completely believes it and doesn't even react, and then immediately when he starts talking about real wrestling bullshit she reacts strongly and can barely believe it.

@arkanoidium:I watch a few hours of wrestling every week and I too, find all the gameplay boring. I treat this as a podcast, basically. Have it running in the background while I do chores around the house.

@arkanoidium:As someone who's into wrestling and watch it every week, this is kinda boring to watch too. End up just throwing it on a monitor and doing other stuff, the conversation is what keeps it interesting.

There is only so much wrestling you can talk about with people who aren't interested before you kinda just feel sorry for them, Abby just looks bored out of her mind.

Alex missing the good NXT stuff. Especially Ciampa. Ciampa vs. Gargano, Ciampa vs. grandmas, Ciampa vs. fans/Twitter, Ciampa vs. the Gargano winky face emoji. That guy has been straight up gold.

Also just to say again, really hope this gets to the magic wand storyline from SvR 2007.

I really like this feature, but I would love to see more Get in The Ring too. I feel like that would give Alex and Dan a chance to do more of a deep dive on current wrestling stuff instead of telling old stories and educating Abby and Vinny on wrestling. And this is coming from a huge wrestling nerd's perspective of course.

A $15k travel package isn't really a rich guy thing, according to Dan Ryckert.

Dan mentioned the WWE free trial turns out if you have a personal and work email address as wel as two credit cards and once time you use your free month for the Rumble and the other for Mania then cancel the WWE Network will send you crazy offers once a year to get 3 or 4 months for anywhere from $1-10 the entire run. I’m currently subscribed through Mania after taking a $1 4 month offer the day of the Rumble. They also do this during Survivor Series and Summerslam and because of my two emails (and my wife’s) I’m always away long enough to get a “Baby come back” offer. ??

He never said that. He was referring to the regular packages that range from about 900-3000 dollars. Maybe not a poor guy thing, but certainly not exclusively a rich guy thing either.

I've had a few people tell me that WWE No Mercy on the N64 was, like, one of the most incredible wrestling video games of all time and has this huge cult following etc. etc. and I sat down to watch a video of it and I was just mystified as to how anyone could find it entertaining. One of the most boring things I've ever watched next to maybe Farm Simulator type stuff. So..yeah I think you kinda have to be into wrestling to enjoy these sorts of games. That said, I like this series just for the banter between the folks.

I know it would slow down the series, but I really want them to get back to doing shitty VA for all the cutscenes. It would make it much more entertaining for both the people watching and the people in the office not playing the game.

Can't wait the moment that they get into Rumble Roses (the best wrestling game of the PS2/GC/Xbox gen).

These are fun to watch from a Get in the Ring standpoint of talking about all-things good and bad in wrestling, but as a story...I think I'm ready for a new game.

At 45:00, the dog wrestling thing should have been called WWE Paw.

I love that Dan has such distaste for Ready Player One because it makes lots of references when he does that same thing all of the time, especially in this video.

I think they got the wrong end of the stick on Vince disliking sneezing.

He also hates sleeping and claims to only get about 2-3 hours a night, so it's not germs as much as it is the hatred of a total lack of control.
