Ron is AWESOME so glad he's back! Can't wait to watch this. The first episode he was on was the hardest I've laughed in a long time.

FF7 remake is so damned good. I get why Vinny is having a bit of a struggle with the early going, though, because that game has an issue I've only ever seen in television series where the writing starts out very clunky , then gets progressively better as if the writers/translators slowly got more comfortable with the cast. By the mid way point the writing has gone from kind of groan inducing to legitimately good.

Also kind of a shame that Abby is so opposed to trying it. I feel like she might be a bit worried about it being a NIER situation where it has a layer of weirdo creep pervert nonsense smeared over it. But it doesn't. It's just a really good game.

Grizzly Bears can weigh more than twice as much as a Gorilla and has knives for teeth and paws, so I'm taking the bear every time.

Admittedly this is a homer pick because I live in a place near lots of Grizzlies.

I did the get a record player and got about 10 "pieces of vinyl" (haha) and I have no regrets Vinny.

I also don't doubt MS on their claims with HDR on old games. I was blown away by Red Dead Redemption 1 in 4k on the One X, it felt like a brand new game. They didn't offer a ton of 4k Xbox 360 games but the results were amazing when they did so they probably had to go in by hand and do a lot of that work. As far as frame rate, it's hard to believe everything in BC is going to be run at 120fps, but just the horsepower alone you could at least get solid no drops frame rates, which also really helped RDR1 feel new again.

@garr123: Yeah but its sooooo anime. Abby doesn't seem to be at all into the aesthetic it presents itself in. And I mean, thats fine. There's so many games out they just can't be for everyone.

I'd say there's loads of games nowadays much more "anime" than FF7R. Back in 1997 sure it was, but nowadays anime aesthetics and culture have pushed so far beyond it, it's often very mild compared to even some more grounded anime-styled things today like Persona 5, which doesn't allow itself to get drowned in moe vomit. Maybe early on it might be rough for someone who doesn't consume or has not experienced a lot of stuff that is just...so much more egregious. In my experience say single episode of Dragon Ball Z/Super is more rough than just about anything in FF7R. After seeing that Broly movie I don't think I could watch DBZ or a similar anime for several years, where as I can't wait to the follow up to FF7R...I hope they find a way to tighten up the few weak elements it does have.

Ron immediately going in on the 2019 GOTY's was so good dude, god i love when he's on.

It doesn't matter what he's saying, Ron's voice is just a delight for the ears.

@garr123: I mean all Japanese games have a layer of "weirdo creepo pervent" stuff smeared over them, but once you accept that it's typically fun weirdo creep pervert stuff then you're good to go.

It was so cathartic to hear Ron mention the loss of his friends, as morbid as that may sound. Of course I wish they didn't make that decision, but I'm going through the darkest period of my life right now, and I needed to hear that I'm not the only one.

(Just to be clear, I'm not contemplating self harm.)

To those who are interested in getting new villagers in ACNH, it's super easy to make your own amiibos using ntag215 nfc chips. They're probably back in stock most places after the initial run on them. Then you just need to have a phone capable of writing to them. I know most newer androids can. No idea on the apples. Also, while not every villager is available, many of the new ones are and Nintendo is producing new cards, they have just been sold out since before the game launched. So far I've brought in Coco, Ankha, and Zucker. They're cool.

Despite having an already way too large CD collection, and a NAS for digital music, I've been idly thinking about getting a turntable. So Vinny, the struggle is real.

I love how Alex is literally wearing the most expensive headphones of anyone and says nothing about them during that whole segment.

I get the mystic around vinyl, they look cool, sound cool, playing them is fun, but music is literally endless so there's no end to how many you could own.
My taste in music means i could probably get away with only getting my favourite albums on vinyl, but i feel like Vinny could go on forever.
