EDIT: I don't wanna rule out the possibility that it was just a typo, but replacing "Origins" with "Oranges" has been a running joke in the UK games press for a long time now (see also: Assassin's Creed Oranges) so there's at least a non-zero chance that they wrote that on purpose.

I'd watch Vinny play Warframe. Maybe they could have Mike walk him through the early steps of the game in a co-op session, and stream it.

I actually went back and watched that playdate when Mike played Warframe for most of that stream, and I just loved the reaction from Vinny. I bet he would like it.

@rounderob: I love Ghostbusters. The first movie is still my favorite movie of all time. I used to watch the old cartoon religiously. The 2016 movie was fun. If they're not going to run with more of that offshoot, then just let it go dormant again. I don't need the IP to be repeatedly exploited to continue enjoying Ghostbusters. I can just watch that old shit and be happy. I don't need them to drench it in Stranger Things-y nostalgic reverence to keep liking it.

@alex: That's fair, I am hoping this new take can pump some energy back into the franchise because we don't get good funny, clever movies like Ghostbusters any more. Booksmart was a good fresh comedy and the closest new comedy I can think of but nobody saw it (Everyone should see Booksmart). It could be nostalgia but I feel like there's still space for a good Ghostbusters movie and I hope we get one.

@rounderob: Believe me, nothing would make me happier than a Ghostbusters movie I could love. I just don't get great vibes off this whole thing. I feel like when Paul Rudd pulled out that ghost trap in the trailer I was supposed to be overwhelmed with joyous nostalgia but it just kinda made me snort. I just don't know that I'm buying the vibe they're going for, but I'll inevitably give it a shot.

RIP FFG Netrunner however the fan-run spinoff is doing quite a good job keeping the game alive!

I was gonna say you think XCOM2 runs rough on a PS4Pro Vinny, try playing through it w/WotChosen on a base console which is what I did. Even still I ended up playing a full campaign before WotC(but still with the tough Ruler enemies) plus one after it released and I can safely say it is one of my favorite video games ever. Even with the severe technical bumps on that version I became so enamored by the mechanics and encounter designs especially after the expansion. Building end game soldiers is unbelievably satisfying and I'm left baffled that GB as a whole were so tepid on it. I really should just bite the bullet and get the PC version at some point but I'm too much of a cheap skate, plus I still have a squad saved in the end game of a hard campaign if I ever want to play around with it.

If I could eat something endlessly with no downside I might say sushi. That's kind of cheating given the variety you could get but boy do I feel like I could feast on some sushi if I set my mind to it. Sans that I might say ribs, not sure if I have to narrow it down to a genus of rib, spare rib? I always like it when Mike's around. Something about his voice makes me think of the Home Movies version of Brendon Small. I keep thinking he's gonna talk about making Movie History or something. This episode was great! Keep up the good work!

Vinny was at peak dad when he thought he vaguely remembered Halo Reach/ODST/5 and every thing he said was then corrected by Mahardy.

All the shitting on Halo 5's campaign makes me sad, playing through it again for the 5th time with the Mrs and brother in coop and we all love it.

@billmcneal: Monte Cristos' tend to look like fried chicken since its battered and fried. First time I had one at a Bennigan's I apologized to the waitress and told her I didn't order fried chicken at which point she corrected me and I felt like an idiot.

@merxworx01: I feel like the Bennigan's Monte Cristo is a bit of an outlier. They're usually more like french toast. pan fried rather than deep fried

@lyndbako: Yeah? That was the first and last time I ordered it so it was only experience with that style of fried sandwich. Not that I hated it but it I would have enjoyed the sandwich just the same without the added fried breading and jelly that was served with it.

@zoofame: Yeah, this is my main problem with either new Ghostbusters movie. Ghostbusters is an OK concept, but there’s nothing about it that is so compelling that it needs to keep getting explored. It was a good comedy for the time and place when it came out, and honestly the movie is largely just a vehicle for Bill Murray and Dan Akroyd to deliver some jokes.

The all lady Ghostbusters movie was like, fine, but largely forgettable in the same way that most reboots of 30-year-old movies are. I’d much rather they come up with some original idea for McCarthy, Wiig, etc. to be in together. The new Ghostbusters movie seems similarly needless, but Hollywood studio executives are now risk averse nostalgia pimps ever since it turns out you can make like 15 live action Transformers movies and no one seems to care that every single one of them has garbage scripts, garbage action sequences, and garbage acting.

@mezmero: you should really get XCOM2 on PC. If you feel like you've rung every bit of fun from the base game and DLC try all with the long war mod that's adds more classes, reconfigures existing classes and scenarios. It completely reimagines your small team of surgical strike soldiers into what they really are: a large army of insurgence hiding among the population. The abstraction is slightly different and leaving people out in the world determines a missions difficulty.

Edit: Also eating sushi all time can still create a build up of Mercury in your system unfortunately. Wish it weren't so.

Ghostbusters 2016 was *fine*. In fact I'd go so far as to say it's better than Ghostbusters 2, which I also consider just *fine*. I'm a fan of the original; it's a *great* movie; but - and forgive me, Alex - that there's such a hardcore fandom around it just perplexes me! So many people who consider it their favorite movie are so serious about it being their favorite movie, and it just strikes me as an odd choice to hitch one's wagon to. Though I will say the discussion in this episode did clear some of that up for me.

And as someone who typically groans at every new remake of a 30 year old franchise I understand and sympathize the people who are more critical of Ghostbusters 2016, but I really wish more of y'all would acknowledge the rampant misogyny coming from your side of the fence. And don't be one of those "muh ruined childhood!" babies, for the love of god.

So I'm definitely an outlier in this and at this point I just find it funny but... I got burned super hard on Xcom 2 WotC. I was pretty deep into the campaign and everything was going fairly well considering that game. I was heading towards extraction in a zombie mission and there was a lot of enemies on screen and I decided to just blow shit up and we'll shit definitely blew up. The game started convulsing super hard at the point of explosion hard crashed to the PS4 home screen and when I started the game back up my saves where just gone all of them. I was so stunned that I just calmly took the game disk out of the console broke it in half the deleted what was left off the hard drive lol good times good times.
