The Serrano is a four-door luxury SUV in The Ballad of Gay Tony, produced by Benefactor. The design looks to be a collection of different luxury SUVs, though the main profile of the vehicle looks similar to the Mercedes-Benz ML-Class, as well as other vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz model family. The Serrano can be found in-game in both a standard civilian guise, as well as modifed. The modified Serrano is noticeably lighter, and is a vastly better vehicle to select if you receive the choice between the two.

Like most luxury SUVs, the Benefactor Serrano has a large, powerful engine, capable of propelling it across Liberty City at considerable speed. The speed of the Serrano is comparable to that of the GTA IV-era Blista Compact, albeit slightly slower. Due to the fact that the Serrano has very low ground clearance for an SUV, it does not perform as well as one may think when taken off-road. It is an 'urban SUV' more than an 'off-road SUV'. The modified Serrano is considerably faster than the standard civilian model, and for this reason is an ideal vehicle to target, thanks to its larger, heavier body and surprisingly high performance.

    Trivia

    • Despite the fact the car is based on the Mercedes ML-Class, the name 'Serrano' is similar to the Nissan Terrano, which was a utilitarian SUV as opposed to luxury.
    • The serrano is also a type of pepper, like the cayenne, which is the name used for Porsche's luxury SUV. The name of the fictional Benefactor SUV may be related to this, and is likely a reference, if anything.
