    Selendis is a pupil of Artanis and serves as his second in command. She is fiercely loyal and dedicated to the ideals of the Protoss. In the novels, Selendis is shown to have a deep hatred for the Dark Templar, believing that they are a threat to Protoss society. She is not a fool however and will put her prejudice aside to work with the Dark Templar and ensure the survival of the Protoss. Like many Protoss, Selendis holds Tassadar and Jim Raynor in high regard for their services to Aiur.
