I am debating replaying Sekiro to see some things I missed on my first play through. Specifically the other time line that leads to the Owl 2 fight. I didn't eavesdrop or whatever.

Anyway my real question is if I am mostly interested in doing this section, and not overly concerned with whether or not I actually beat the game again, should I attempt this by starting over completely or on NG+?

I never play From Soft games on NG+ so I don't know how the increased difficulty vs. starting with all my upgrades will effect my experience. Especially when my end goal is only partly through the game. I am looking for the easiest route. I am not particularly good at these games.

Sekiro's NG+ doesn't increase all that dramatically unless you opt in onto some additional modifiers. I would just continue on.
