Overview
The Segmented Crawbster only appears once in
Pikmin 2 and is the only known member of the creep-crab family. The creature is notable for having a very small left arm, a very large right arm, and a shell which makes it invulnerable to
Pikmin attack. When the player fights the creature it attacks by curling up into a ball and rolling towards the player. The player must lead the creature into a wall, causing to fall onto its back, leaving its soft underbelly to be exposed, which is vulnerable to attack by Pikmin. According to
Olimar there was a notable incident when an explorer encountering the Segmented Crawbster mistakenly believed the creature to be docile and passive, whereas it is in fact highly aggressive and easily agitated. The latin name of the Segmented Crawbster is Parastacoidea reptantia.
