    The Ruby Sanctum was the last raid dungeon for both 10 and 25 players added to World of Warcraft during the Wrath of the Lich King era. Players must defeat Halion, a powerful member of the Black Dragonflight.

    The Ruby Sanctum was the last raid dungeon added to World of Warcraft before the release of Cataclysm. Despite this fact, it was generally considered much easier than late game encounters in Icecrown Citadel and players often used the raid to farm high level gear as it did not present much challenge to experienced players. Before Halion can be engaged players first have to kill three mini-bosses.
