    'Rising Sun' was a PC title released in the year 2000. Players are able to fight as a commander in the Japanese Imperial Army, or as a commander in the Allied forces. The game takes place on a map built up of hexagonal shapes, and players take turns to advance their units and ultimately overwhelm the hostile forces in the area. The game contains over 30 individual missions for players to partake in, in order to either crush, or expand, the Japanese empire.
     

    Reception

    Reception for Rising Sun was notably lukewarm, receiving some high praise marred with some cripplingly average scores. ActionTrip praised the game, awarding it an extremely impressive 90/100. However, other publications were less positive, giving scores of 63/100 and below.
