    Pinnacle of a franchise and a genre that has yet to be topped. 0

    It is no small feat that when someone says Survival Horror the first thing that pops into your mind is Resident Evil. The game may not have created the genre but it literally defined it. Giving it a name all the while creating one of gaming's most enduring franchises. The original game drew very clear inspiration from George Romero's Night of the Living Dead. Zombie outbreak with survivors taking refuge in a secluded house (well a much bigger house in RE's case) but much like it's original muse...

    Resident Evil 2 is one of the strongest installments in the franchise.   Adding improved graphics, an unforgettable score, and suspense and horror unrivaled to this day, Resident Evil 2 still has people coming back. The 'zapping' system in the game adds for in incredible amount of replay value, and gives the player that feeling that they're truly affecting the other characters in the game.  While many survival/horror games are more about the horror than the survival, RE2 really forces the player...

    Resident Evil 2 was an incredible survival horror game for its time and still tops many current titles in the survival horror genre. This Gamecube release was part of a series of remakes developed specially for the system.
