Finished  Ratchet and Clank 2.  It's fucking excellent.

All the lock on shit that didn't work in the first one is fixed and you can strafe, just that alone makes it 20% better than the first one.  Most fun I've had in a game in over a year and puts another notch on the PS2 is better than the 360 headboard.  Ending was abrupt as hell, though, I really thought it was fake credits time when they popped up.  I'd watched the Gamespot review and they said it was 20 to 25 hours and I only had 16 on the clock.  I might just do the harder runthroughs later on but I've now got 3 to play - oh yes.

The Good: Strafing, weapons that feel niiiiice almost overpowered sometimes, general tone.
The Bad: Occasional "Why didn't you grab that ledge, you cack handed cunt!" moments.  Giant Clank moon fights, flying bits.

Only had a PS2 recently, my friend's mate at work sold it with 2 games, 2 pads and a memory card for ten bolts (pounds) and my mate just bought it for me.  I borrowed some games Ratchet 1 + 2, God of War 1 + 2, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, I Love Katamari and bought Gitaroo Man just based on the demo disk and Ratchet and Clank 3 because all reviews point go good.  My xbox live ran out 2 weeks ago so I've been rockin' the PS2 and I'm loving it, apart from the sticks - I feel like I'm abusing a snails eyes with my  thumbs... tell me where the cabbages are, you slimey basto!

I'm going to do an endurance run of Ico for my mate but have promised to try and keep the daft comments to a minimum.

If you think Going Commando is good, just wait til you play Up Your Arsenal. It's the best r&C game of all time.

Is that the third one?  It's so stupid that they changed or remove the game subtitles in Britain, Going Commando isn't that rude now, is it?  Up Your Arsenal could be construed as being a bit more rude in Britspeak but still...

I'm holding off playing 3 for a little bit so I don't get Ratchet fatigue but I'm looking forward to it already.  I put it in to test the disk and saw you can have really good controls of both sticks, jumping and shooting which is just what I want.  First one didn't have strafe unless you did that jetpack thing which was too much of a faff - with strafe it would have been so much better.

Yeah Up Your Arsenal has the best controls, the best villain(who returns on the PS3, on of the only reasons I have to get A Crack In Time considering i didn't enjoy Tools of Destruction all the much. It also has a lot of cool weapons and some cool new game mechanics. It's great, you'll enjoy the shit out of it. And you'll probably play it more than once.
