    Overview

Rama is an adventure game developed by Dynamix and published by Sierra for PC and Mac.

    Plot

The player controls an astronaut who is a member of an international team sent to investigate Rama, an enormous alien space craft which is approaching Earth for unknown reasons.

The story is based on the novels Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke and Rama II by Clarke and Gentry Lee. The first novel had previously been adapted in the 1984 interactive fiction adventure Rendezvous with Rama.

    Gameplay

Rama is a point-and-click first person adventure game featuring live action full motion video. As in Myst, the player explores the environment and must solve numerous semi-abstract puzzles based on logic, spatial relationships, and mathematics.

When the player character dies, Arthur C. Clarke himself appears in live action video, suggesting that the player should try a different course of action.
