Game » consists of 1 releases. Released Nov 13, 1995

Quest for Fame is an early Aerosmith branded rhythm game, originally released for PC in 1995 and bundled with an electronic guitar pick to be connected to the PC's parallel port.

    Short summary describing this game.

The game is presented with prerendered backgrounds, with looped video animations on top, as well as FMV cutscenes and a horizontal note highway on the bottom of the screen, moving left to right. The game does not check for pitch, only rhythm, and bundled with the game is an electronic guitar pick named "V-Pic", which is intended to be played on a real guitar in time with the music (but playing on a tennis racket or even hitting the pick with your hand works, as the device only registers vibrations).

The player starts off playing guitar in their house, and the ultimate goal is to join Aerosmith on their tour and play to the crowds at a football stadium.

This game was developed by Virtual Music Entertainment and published by IBM for Windows 3.1, OS/2 and MacOS. A PlayStation port was released in 1997, and in 1999 Namco acquired Virtual Music Entertainment and published an arcade version of the game.
