Holy shit this game literally is an Operation Genesis spiritual sequel huh. There's some mechanics in there that feel directly plucked from JP:OG that, frankly, were totally unneeded but are greatly appreciated. The ability to tranq from the heli yourself, for example.

The real question is how much this support will extend past 2017.

FWIW: I used to be able to listen to the live bombcasts through my work's hefty firewall using the archaic as all hell browser they've locked us on (IE11), and that no longer seems to be the case. I press play and the circle goes around, while the premium button just sits there in the middle. I don't think it's necessarily an issue with HTML5 either, as YouTube (which I believe also is HTML5 based) works fine. Oh well!

@donchipotle: no way, the rest of the cast dunking on the two for being totally extraneous and unnecessary to the plot is hilarious. The fact that they devote scenes in the middle of the exposition to go "Vaan, why are you here again?" "NOTHIN' BETTER TO DO, IM A CRIM NOW" is a great bit of the game dunking on itself when Balthier et. al are the actual protagonists.

I'm really excited for this; I first played this last year and really enjoyed it. Supposedly the International version makes the extra bonus bosses less obnoxious, which is a good thing; it taking three whole hours to beat Yiazmat was uuuugh.

I forget, does the international version this is based on have the new job-system as a mandatory thing or is it an option when you start the game? The International version does seem overall a much better variant, unlike FFX which just inserted super-bosses stronger than the final boss in the way of any attempt to backtrack and pick up items you may have missed.

It is beyond ridiculous that you can buy Doom trucker-hats at major retailers, but you cannot even buy a digital version of the Doom 2016 OST.
