Ridiculous Fishing's three-part gameplay loop (avoid fish, catch fish, shoot fish) works so well because each step feeds the next. The further you can go without touching fish, the more fish you can catch on the way back; the more fish you catch on the way back, the more you can shoot for money; the more fish you shoot for money, the more upgrades you can buy so you can go further and avoid fish better. It's very elegant and mechanically rewarding.
I'm not sure why you qualify my defense as knee-jerk; I've had plenty of time to know the people involved. I've met them. I've talked to them. I've seen the dramatic effect this campaign of hate has had on them. They are actual people, with lives, qualities, flaws, and integrity. And when they mess up - because they are human, like all of us - they own up to it. It's a standard I hope to live up to.
In contrast, I don't know you, but I see the language you use; it's accusatory, antagonistic, and it comes from an account you made this very morning only to reply to this post. You've given me very little reason to trust what you have to say.
