Games I Have Weird Affection For

Sure, there are games that are universally acclaimed, but then there's games that aren't neccessarily great or even good but that just click with some aspects of my personality.

Here's my picks for games I have weird affection for :

List items

  • i remember getting a bootleg copy, and though i was old enough to realize this game was crap I was happy as hell to play this novel wrestling game with the damn simpsons!

  • Dance It's Your Stage, played with a dance mat is just a knock off of Dance Dance Revolution but played with a 360 controller I found it a unique and challenging game. The soundtrack is full of hilarious takes on Pop songs. All of this combined actually gave it some personality.

  • El Shaddai is unique visually, the 2D sections of the games are so beautiful that it made me wish the whole game was just 2D, on top of that in a dark and grim gaming age this game shows that games can handle dark subject matter but still look bright and colorful.

  • I S ranked this one, though it's definitely not great, if you're a rhythm game fan this will satisfy your fingers in ways other rhythm games can't. It's one of those games that is just really silly but hardcore nonetheless.

  • In beautiful, colorful detail like a child's imagination the simple act of playing truly sets my spirit free and relaxes my mind.

  • This game didn't revolutionize anything but you know what? it was FUN AS HELL. It was so over the top, just the way wolverine plunges at dudes to kill them, you could summarize it as Uncharted meets a crazed Wolverine, does that sound bad to you?

  • Well, I don't know that I have "affection" for Trash Panic, but this game is so original and brutally hard I just respect it, also it's funny as hell.

  • I don't think a lot of people will answer yes if you ask them if they remember crash commando but it was neat little PSN with a fantastic pixelated blood splatter effect that still lingers in the depths of my mind.

  • Sequence is a fantastic effort that had me hooked all the way through, If there's one PC game i'd recommend it's this one, you can read my review on the site.

  • the theme song is hypnotizing, the game's smoke and mirrors mechanic is dizzying and the sound bites of pieces of fruit being eaten are just super awesome.
