I'm visually impaired and we are in an age where some of these publishers are finally understanding the importance of these features. Of these Microsoft games it is hilarious that Starfield has literally nothing to offer.
I can only hope for Nintendo to start caring in the coming years.
Yes! Both Dead Space and RE4 were fantastic and like Lucy it edged ever so slightly ahead of RE. The gun-play and atmosphere really is something else. I also can't stress how good the accessibility options are for Dead Space.
Hell yeah. I personally enjoyed Dead Space more than Resident Evil 4. I loved RE4, but the sound design and the shooting just feels so good in Dead Space.
Been playing Starfield. I like it, but the crew really nailed it. The game is like any other Bethesda game and it really is just a giant theme park. I am not immersed at all, but it gives me a progression loop that I am happy with. If you really are looking for a space exploration game, this is not it. No Man's Sky is still the GOAT.
To be honest, this game has made me want to go back to Death Stranding again.
Tried a little bit of the demo and was blown away with the optimization and atmosphere. Here I am staring at my PS2 copy and now I am convinced this is worth the full price of admission. Thanks for the write up Dan.
I am not looking forward to the AI of Ashley though...
@voidburgerOh yeah I hear ya. I don't hate the series. It's just a head scratcher. Definitely a weird spot they put themselves in after the first game. Not sure how they'd pivot from that choice to be honest.
The game is colourful for sure and the distinct colours help with my colour blindness, but I somewhat agree. It feels so out of place, even the original.
Asides the aesthetics and so forth the game also continues to tread the lines of cultural appropriation with the costumes. To preface, I'm not Indigenous but a Chinese guy who knows a few people with Indigenous roots here in Canada. I'm not a stranger to white people doing the same with my culture. It's just weird seeing it in a AAA title with so much research put into it (I assume).
