After about twenty minutes of Megaman 9 I find myself eating my words. For a long time I have been wanting a beautiful, colorful and truly 2-D HD platformer. After Megaman 9 was announced and I found out it was going to be an 8-bit game I was ticked. I, without hesitation, scoffed at the game, and called it dumb. It's not dumb, in fact, I love it. I love it so much I actually had to stop myself from playing. It was extremely hard. The 8-bit graphics make me feel like I'm five years old again, watching my cousin play his NES games. I wish the soundtrack was on iTunes like the Bionic Commando Rearmed soundtrack was. I would buy the entire album in a heartbeat. Can't wait to get home tomorrow to get more time with the game. I think I might review it. I mean the user review thing is really cool. Even if nobody ever reads it, it's an outlet for me to talk about games.

I just played the Pure demo, and I'm most definitely gonna be picking up that game. It looks beautiful, the trick to boost system is reminiscent of SSX, and it's just downright fun. The announcer is a little annoying, but I can live with that. Maybe he's only in the demo. I just hope the tracks aren't all aesthetically the same. I would really like it to have some variants in locales, instead of what I assume will be the same muddy forest with a few different trees.

Anywho, cheers to a game I assumed was total garbage until this afternoon.
