Oh man, it took me way too long to realize what was going on. I was like "This nacho spa thing sounds super familiar... so does this sound bar discussion... wait Vinny is yelling over that guy and THIS IS LAST YEARS PODCAST!"
Not my kind of game but I'm glad it's out there for the people who enjoy it though. I understand having a love for a niche game and feeling a sense of ownership over it. Have fun out there!
I've never played a Monster Hunter game. This looks like a lot of fun, I'm just concerned it will assume I've played the series before and I'll end up lost.
As someone who has played games inverted since the Nintendo 64 (my first 'stick' based controller), I have never felt 'hindered' by my preference. Changing an option in the game, or on the system itself as Vinny mentioned, is not a big deal. That said, it does get annoying when passing a controller back and forth with someone who has the opposite preference. So, my soon to arrive son will likely have the same preference I have without really making that decision on his own. Sorry kid!
Yeah me and a friend played the hell out of that. I remember it being really difficult so we had to really communicate with each other as we went to get past each section. Felt very tactical at the time.
