There are many genres that I can say that I'm not a fan of, but if I had to pick one it'd be bullet-hell shooters. Even the ones with an obvious quality can't hold me for more than a few deaths. I just don't have the patience for the bullshit that essentially defines the genre.
I'm not fond of shooters, I dig on Halo and of course played and enjoyed most of the definitive games throughout the nineties, but the modern military style shooter doesn't do much for me and Gears of War never grabbed me. I guess the actual gameplay of Mass Effect 2 & 3 falls under this category, and its more than adequate, but not really the reason I play the game.
Sports, racing and fighting I feel generally ambivalent to, they're fun if that's what everyone else is doing, but just wouldn't be my first choice by far.
I've yet to play a MOBA, just seems a bit daunting at this point.
I haven't heard about this on any video game podcast, and while the project may not be exactly the kind of game most of us are looking to come out of kickstarter at the moment, I think its pretty awesome in concept. I wonder if that name means anything to anyone under the age of 25 though.
It's actually more of an South African accent, but yeah... I agree probably the best party member to have. I was a little shocked to find out he was actually day 1 dlc, I paid for the game with a gift card so I didn't think much about buying the 80 dollar version. I figured I'd play the shit out of either way so might as well get the one with all of the perks and what not.
I enjoyed playing Patapon, and was pissed when I had to order Patapon 2 from Europe to get a disc. But I loved Patapon 2, and I've played it for over 3 days of total game time. I seriously hope whoever makes these decisions is smart enough to give me an actual disc in America.
