I now understand what Galak-Z is on a fairly deep level. Thank you, my good sir!

I love the Kunio-kun series. World Cup was my introduction to it.

Getting my hopes up

Well, you've got me there.

My go-to would be Hitman and MGS, so yeah.

Turning the game formula on its head, avoid killing dudes, does make for some very interesting gameplay though. I wish more devs/pubs went for it.
But these games are, by nature, harder to develop. So I can see why I'm not drowning in'em.

Very few, but, yes, it happens.

Bought Metal Gear Solid 3 when it came out, then bought the HD collection on the Vita.

Majora's Mask on 64 and 3DS.

2 special ones that comes to mind.

Edit

I tend to avoid "new" ones where the only change is the resolution, unless it's the only way to play it on my modern devices.

Depends on your definition of being good is.

Are you interested in the gameplay originally designed for the levels, or is it about the fear of missing out on details in the MGS universe?
If your answer is yes to the first question, then you are indeed missing out.
The answer tho the latter is negligible. Twin Snakes added some action-scenes, but it doesn’t lack anything of value.

Also there are other voice actors in Twin Snakes.

But the 2 critical ones for fans of the series are the added action bits (rocket surfing Snake) and new gameplay mechanics slapped on without adjusting the rest of the game, making Snake overpowered.

I think that about sums it up.

@dudeglove: I’m saying that he wasn’t prepared to handle that specific situation. Very few would be.
Remember that somebody (Eidos) had to look over that contract - penthouse bills and all - and say "seems legit, let’s go!".
If you (suits with money and power) put a person on a pedestal, saying yes to whatever this person wants, absurd shit will often ensue.

@dudeglove: That’s not what I got out of that book, at all.
Imagine being in his place; one of the masterminds behind a new genre, one of which only recently has started to plateu. He could name whatever he wanted, and the suits would make it happen.
It’s on him for taking it, sure, but let’s not forget about the context surrounding this steep cliff that would make Wile E Coyote blush.

I don’t have much of a clue about rock, like in the OP. My strength lies in house music, if that’s ok.

How about two upbeat tunes and end it with a relaxing one? All house, though.

ABSRDST took a bunch of Mega Man tunes and made a pretty decent album out of it.

This is one of my favourites:

RoBKTA did a similar thing with Sonic. I didn’t really like much of that album, but one song - a remix of the main sonic theme - stood out.

And to end it on a non-gaming related note.

Hayden James is an artist I stumbled over earlier this year. Smooth and relaxing..uh, actually, I lied about the all house thing, I actually have no idea which genre this one fits within. Most would stash it under electronica, but I haven’t to this very day been able to make sense of what electronica actually is. But I digress..Just lean back and let the waves take you ^_^

If anybody here has any house-music to share, I will gladly eat it all up. I’m on an everlasting search for more :)

Ugh, I’m not familiar with the text editing thingie here, so just copy paste it. Sorry :(
