So, Microsoft got preorders in from the retailers. They were probably trending under even their manufacturing capacity, which is apparently very low due to poor yields.
Or maybe gaming journalists should stop fighting against windmills? Maybe there's a connection between juvenile tactics used by companies, and the actual consumers? Gaming is not the most cerebral activity one can take part in, and it won't become one even if the vendors suddenly stopped hiring good looking women to prance around in their undies at E3. Playing games is juvenile, unproductive and a general waste of time. Games are not art, and gaming culture is a joke.
Stop making excuses and blaming E3, vendors, or marketing, and take responsibility of your own actions. This is disgusting.
Nintendo: "Gaming is fun, and everyone should be able to enjoy it. People are afraid and confused by the complexity of modern controllers - hence, the Wiimote!"
Nintendo: "We have this new controller. It's all about the controller. We're only talking about the controller. It has thousands of buttons, cameras, touchpads and all sorts of stuff. It's 'infinitely complex.' The WiiU controller!"
To me, Nintendo's marketing, which had already annoyed me to no ends, has finally caught up to them. The annoyance has become self-contradictory, messy and wholly unfathomable.
Looks totally ace! The second game was a bit of a disappointment, so I hope this'll live up to the expectations.
EDIT: And the first Resistance is one of the best console shooters around. It's still great fun in campaign co-op. One of the best launch/near launch titles ever.
