I'm visiting California and New York in the next few weeks. I remember some Bomb/Beastcasts where GB have talked about their favorite places to eat (not fast food) in response to email questions in this regard. Can anyone recall which podcasts these are or any of the places they recommended?

How about trying to predict the results of if the current GB team had this debate?

My guess would be:

1. Super Mario Maker

2. Mass Effect 2

3. GTA IV

4. Skyrim

5. Hitman

6. Last of Us

7. PUBG

8. XCOM

9. Uncharted 2

10. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor

I could definitely be projecting with Skyrim though.

@wallee321: He said on a podcast that he was thinking of leaving after all the GOTY stuff. So yeah, Jan/Feb. Jeff has also said that they'll put out an ad to hire someone for the San Francisco office.

All of them. If you choose to turn off your console, it affects the game.

Lots of folks use computers for 3 hour sessions straight in their work lives without a break. I think this is a "bread and cheese"situation i.e. technically we're not supposed to eat bread and cheese and should take 15 minute breaks from gaming every hour if we want to be in tip-top physical condition but, in reality, not taking breaks (at least not of this length and frequency) is, like eating bread and cheese, (to quote David Mitchell) "absolutely, demonstrably fine".

Your question is a little difficult to answer without knowing more about what games you like, what you've been playing recently but a few suggestions:

1. I find it good to change up game types. Having just finished Mass Effect maybe go for something that's not a shooter.

2. Is your list realistic? Guessing heavily I'd say there's about 700 to 800 hours there. I don't know about you but I find it really hard to do more than 20 hours of gaming a week and even that's pretty intensive. So you've got all of your gaming for the next year locked down if you stick to that list. Which brings me too,,,

3. Arr you absolutely sure you want to play everything on that list? Without comment on the quality of any of the games on the list, if you started playing them then gave up that suggests to me that they didn't grab you. I've had to be really ruthless about this but despite everyone telling me how good Mordor was (GB Game of the Year 2014!) I stopped playing after a few hours becuase I just wasn't having enough fun. I think that's important. In a time-infinite world I would play every video game ever so the question is not 'Is this fun?' but more 'Is this more fun than something else I could be playing?'. It helps to set a benchmark, for me I won't keep playing something if I'm having less fun than I did with Assasin's Creed 4. That's my line. If you didn't enjoy Braid, then why did you finish it?

4. Play Bioshock :P.

I don't think it's just the sheer amount of people with free time. I think it's the collective knowledge of those people. Between the entire modding community SOMEONE is bound to have run into the specific problem causing a glitch and knows just how to fix it.

Also (back to the time thing) corporate economics re not a concern for the modding community. A games company may have the know-how/resources to fix a problem but solving it doesn't net them enough extra users to justify the resource commitment.

All the above advice is good and I'm sure showing a picture can work very well but I think the psuedocode for this problem is probably:

{

//Nearer to 1 = shorter

x = GetInt

printf "Use the number (x) razor and scissor trim on top."

}

This might help give you an idea of the specs you can expect for that kind of money: http://techbuyersguru.com/2000build.php

I would recomend spending just a little more though to ensure longetivity, or maybe waiting a few months until this stuff gets cheaper. As DDR5 and solid state drives are relatively new they cost a lot at the moment but have already seen big pricefalls so a few more months could make a big difference.
