This 1986 platform video game developed by ISCO and published by Takara exclusively in Japan is based on the popular Transformers toyline.A mobile phone remake of the game was eventually released in August 2014 exclusively in Japan, titled Q-Transformers: Mystery of Convoy Returns, as part of the Q-Transformers toyline. A tie-in anime series was also released in 2015, featuring super-deformed versions of the Age of Extinction incarnations of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Lockdown. At the time of ...

Bad, this game is. Play it, you must not. 0

This game, which features the voice actors from the show of the same name (including Matt Lenter, James Arnold Taylor, and Ashley Eckstein) follows the adventures of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, and other Jedi and clone troopers during the Clone Wars. The Confederacy of Independent Systems recruits Skakoan scientist Kul Teska to develop a new superweapon, prompting an investigation by the Galactic Republic, who attempts to stop its construction.First things first, the game is f...

No respect deserved 0

Based on one of my favorite and the very successful HBO television series The Sopranos, this game was developed by 7 Studios and published by THQ on November 7, 2006 on the PlayStation 2. The announced Xbox 360 version was in development, but was never released. This is Road to Respect, a beat 'em up game that is played in linear levels rather than a open world like in The Godfather. The player takes missions from characters from the show like Tony Soprano, Paulie, Silvio and Christopher to furt...

Can you believe this game was made by the same people behind Need for Speed, NHL, FIFA and NBA Live games? 0

Taking place before the events of the TV series, Megabyte and Hexadecimal form a plan to take over Mainframe, by using unstable system energy, known as tears, to destabilize Mainframe. While everyone is evacuating Mainframe, it's up to Bob to stop the tears and put an end to Megabyte and Hexadecimal's plan. The in-game graphics are decent for a PS1 game, and some of the FMV cutscenes are faithful to the show. The voice acting is good, as most of the voice actors reprise their roles from the show....

South Park is an American animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and developed by Brian Graden for Comedy Central. Unfortunately for me, I strongly dislike this show.Okay. I mean, I tried watching it. I tried to like it. I really tried. I have nothing against adult cartoons (in fact, I like lots of them, much like I like all other cartoons) but unfortunately I found South Park to be rather awful. Mostly because the characters from this show are uninteresting and unlikeable and pr...

Daytona! Let's go away... from this rushed port! 0

Daytona USA is a racing game by Sega that was ported from the arcade to the Sega Saturn. The arcade version was very successful in the 90s and still grosses around arcades today. But the Saturn version was the complete opposite.Bad qualities:Due to the Sega Saturn's rushed launch, the game also had to be rushed so it could be a launch title.Like other arcade games ported to consoles, the game has very little actual content.Aside from the playable Horse, There is not any unlockables.Poor frame-ra...

Get this crappy port outta here. 0

Duke Nukem 3D is one of the games responsible for popularizing first-person shooters. It was widely praised for its gameplay, level design, humor, pop-culture references, and satire. In 1998 it recieved a Genesis/Mega Drive recreation developed by TecToy (the same company that created the Zeebo), but said port was never actually commissioned. It's technically impressive, especially by Genesis standards, but the fact that this game was given a retail release on the Genesis in late 1998 makes no se...

Do you feel lucky playing this, punk? Apparently not... 0

Published by Mindscape and developed by Gray Matter Inc, the game is loosely based on the Dirty Harry movie franchise, which stars Clint Eastwood as Harry Callahan. It is an extremely short game, only going through three levels the whole game. The grasp of the source of origin is extremely poor. Players will fight uninspired enemies which have nothing to do with the films, such as rats, roaches and snakes. It does, however, contain two of Harry Callahan's famous quotes, albeit the quality is tin...

Only chaos 0

Based on the television series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, this Indiana Jones game for the Genesis was in development as of August 1992, with the title Young Indiana Jones. With outstanding graphics and a nice soundtrack, the controls are sluggish, which makes this game only chaos. There's also fall damage in a 2D game. Indy can even fall through a bridge, yet there's no fall animation. You can stand on an iceberg, and it breaks, but if you throw a grenade at it, it doesn't blow up. Video...

Bigfoot should've just run this game over. 0

This NES game was published by Acclaim Entertainment and it was developed by Australian company Beam Software. While the graphics are at least decent for an NES game, the same can't be said for the game itself. The controls are extremely complicated. You have to mash the left and right directions constantly during side-scrolling races. This isn't Daley Thompson's Decathlon! Worst of all, if you are playing in a NES emulator either in the PC or in your mobile phone, you will risk damaging the left...

Based on the animated movie of the same name and developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Motown Games, Bebe's Kids is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up for the SNES.The plot of the movie was adapted in such a poor and half-assed way that cutscenes all consist of random lines of dialogue from the film that barely explain what's happening in the game. Not only that but even though two of the characters from the movie are seen on the game's cover, they are nowhere in the game itself. There's...

And you thought the home console ports of Hard Drivin' were bad! Now they made the same mistakes again with the sequel! 0

This is a 3D racing game released in July 1990 for the arcades and ported to several home consoles the following years. A Sega 32x version was planned, but it was canceled. It is the sequel to Hard Drivin', which was released back in 1988. It was ported to the PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox as a part of Midway Arcade Treasures 3.While the Sega Saturn version is surprisingly great in comparison to other versions, and the Game Boy version is visually impressive (despite the low framerate), the ...

Here we have a 3D racing game released in 1988 for the arcades and ported to various consoles and home computers the following years. A sequel was made, called Race Drivin' in 1990. An NES version was in development and was finished, but was never released and only prototypes exist. The Commodore 64 version was only released as part of the Wheels of Fire and TNT compilations. The home console ports have inferior graphics with very blocky polygons. Developed and published by Namco (under the Namcot brand) and was released only in Japan for the NES, Star Wars is a platform game based on the first film for its tenth anniversary in 1987. Just like in the film, Luke Skywalker receives Leia's message from Obi-Wan and must traverse across planets to rescue her from the Death Star. The game is overall extremely unfaithful to the source material. Due to its success, Mortal Kombat received ports to several platforms and even spawned a franchise. The game was ported to the Super Nintendo on September 10, 1993 by Sculptured Software and Acclaim, which this article will cover. While the original game sparked controversy for its amount of violence, the SNES port sparked its own controversy for its heavy censorship. An unnamed space marine is shipped to Mars to act as security for the Union Aerospace Corporation. During an experiment involving teleportation, a device creates a portal to Hell and unleashes demons and evil forces on the Mars base, making Deimos disappear and causing the scientists and security guards to die horribly while the evil revives them as zombies. It's up to the Marine to fight off the demons and zombies, before Earth becomes the next to fall. This premise was very unique at the time,...

It's just a total conversion of the DOS game with all 6 episodes, and no extra content such as the bonus levels. The bad graphics and poor controls are comparable to the infamous SNES version's graphics. Wolfenstein 3D has become a huge success and it's often called "the grandfather of first-person shooters" due to helping to create the FPS genre. Since its original release, the game has been ported to several platforms, including the Atari Jaguar, the 3DO, the Apple IIGS, the Macintosh and the Game Boy Advance. The game was also ported more recently to the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. There is also an online version of the game on the web. It's also one...

The underwater theme is a cool idea for a shoot 'em up when it was common for games in its genre to be in space or in the sky for the time. Developed by Hi-Score Media Work and published by Pack-In-Video in Japan and NEC in North America on 1989 and 1990 respectfully for the TurboGrafx-16/PC-Engine, Deep Bluemis just that. I've been looking for this one. Before Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, there was Bad Street Brawler (also known as Bop 'N Rumble on the Commodore 64 and Street Hassle on the Amiga), a side-scrolling beat 'em up developed by Beam Software and released for various platforms in late 1987. There's nothing supersonic about this blind game. 0

This is an interactive adaptation of one of my all-time favorite shows, which inspired a series of video games. This review involves the CPC version. Airwolf, the helicopter, can't stay still in the air, despite the aircraft being built to do so. This means you have to do everything in your power to ensure that Airwolf doesn't go off course. The passages are extremely hard to bypass due to the issue in the first point, so you MUST be pixel perfect. Any more than that, and you die. There is...

Developed by Rare and published by the infamous LJN in 1989, this platforming game is a complete nightmare for many reasons. At least I consider it's possibly one of those uncommon games that's so bad it's good...or so bad it's actually horrendous it makes you feel ripped off. It does have four-player co-op, which sounds fun, but is terribly executed. The soundtrack by David Wise is actually decent. It does its best with capturing the horror setting. The controls feel similar to Dr. Jekyll...

The resulting product differed from the arcade version in several aspects, but kept the same underlying premise and style. The title of the game claims to have 100,000 games, in which in fact it has way less games on it. Many of the games are just copied and pasted to get to that number by separating the levels into separate games and renaming the title. The read me file on the disc, claims to have 300,000 games on it, despite the title saying 100...

So what we have here is not another movie-based game, but a completely wasted license. The original film was the source of inspiration for many interactive titles. While it still retains the plot of the original film, it's expected to be an enjoyable and exciting arcade style flight sim, but the expectations were not met, considering this must have been rushed for no apparent reason. The result? Boring gameplay and visuals that seem every bit as low budget as you might expect....
