I'm getting married in a few months (yay), and for reasons that I'd prefer not to discuss we are choosing ourselves a new last name. We've got a few good candidates, but I wanted to see if Giant Bomb could conjure up any good video game ones. Here's what I'm looking for:
Looks like a new patch went out the other day for MVC3. Here's what it includes!
-Sentinel's health is now 905,000, down from 1,300,000. -The Haggar/Spencer freeze glitch is fixed. -The Spencer loop is gone (A medium hit could keep people in the air indefinitely) -Hitstun deterioration on Akuma's air Tatsu is now more severe, preventing his infinite. -This update sets the game up for the new Event mode.
I'm at least glad for the first change. Sentinel is still the hardest hitting character, and his use in tournaments was getting kinda stale. Does this screw up anyone's roster?
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've had time to do much with Giant Bomb, but I just had something weird happen, and I figured it was worth posting.
I was trying the Mortal Kombat demo (which is a pretty decent amount of fun), and decided I would play some versus. I have no experience with MK, but I wanted to get good at it, as I'd like to up my fighting skill in games in general. So, I'm playing against an absent player 2, I'm controlling Scorpion and the dummy is Sub Zero. Towards the end of the second round, the picture of a guy in a blue t-shirt popped up, in the lower right hand corner. The person was white, average build, no facial hair, and it looked like the shirt had an orange decal on it. Accompanied by this image was a sound, in really high pitch that sounded like "uh oh", but could have been any host of things. Anyway, both the sound and the picture popped back out just as fast as they came in, and I was stuck wondering: "WTF".
So, any MK guru's know what that was?
P.S: Does anyone have a webpage where I can learn to play MK?
So, I've thought about getting the Kinect, for interest in the technology rather than any of the games that are out. If anything, I'd be getting Dance Central, and Kinectimals looks interesting as well (if not a total ripoff). But I wonder, I've got less than five feet from the front of my TV stand to my couch, how well could the Kinect work if they want six feet. Anybody test this out yet? Give it a shot, someone!
