@strife777: Haha, I would have played it on the PS4 if I had one. Got an XB1 and currently waiting for a real reason to pick up a PS4. The Order might be that reason.
@sunbrozak: I expect a graphical step down from the PC to PS3, but not that drastic of a difference. I haven't seen pixelated mess like that since the GBA. I've emailed Sony and asked for my money back. Will continue to play on the Mac.
So, I bought The Swapper a while back on Steam but never got around to playing it. I wanted to play it this evening, and ended up buying it on my PS3 (cause controller support). When I booted it up, I immediately was thrown off by the graphics, I remember Patrick playing it on a QL and was sure it looked way better than it did on my PS3. I took a pic of running on the PS3. It's so pixelated the character is blending into the wall.
I booted it up on my Mac to see if it looked the same, and lo and behold it looked 1000x better. Has anyone noticed graphical problems with the PS3 version?
@optix12: Yeah I guess it's the whole chatter on Twitter and the forums that I will miss the most. Oh well, I guess I'll be looking forward to an extended holiday when I'm back.
Booked my holiday to Cuba with some friends a couple of weeks ago and it just dawned on me that my trip coincides with E3. I've always kept up with the show over the years, following the chaos that it is through Twitter, GAF and GT's 12-hour livestreams (not forgetting the GB E3 Live Evening Shows). And while I'm looking forward to a well-deserved holiday in the sun I can't help but feel this has dampened my entire trip.
Since the internet is non-existent in Cuba does anyone have any tips on how to miss but re-live E3 through the power that is the internet? I was thinking of avoiding all news and trying to download the GameTrailers Live Streams and re-watching them – is this even possible? I know Giant Bomb keep an archive of their crazy antics on Twitch, so I know I'll be able to revisit that.
I'm sure other fellow posters have missed some part of E3 due to work or other commitments. Are there any other tips for a duder that will be without internet access while the video game world is exploding?
@crusader8463: I know what you're saying, but the idea of manually entering each game is frightening. For what it's worth, Delicious Library has a companion scanner app for the iPhone – I scanned half my entire gaming collection (around 200 games) in less than an hour via the barcodes on the back of the case. Now it's all arranged in a neat little list like this.
I've been looking for a CD case with a ring binder where you can replace the pages, so when I add more discs to it I can move things around a bit easier.
Over this past year I made the decision to go fully digital starting with any new consoles I picked up. I started off this trend with my 3DS and continued it when I picked up my Vita and Xbox One. I'm also planning to do the same with the PS4 and Wii U when I get them.
So, I spent the majority of today deciding what to do with my current collection of boxed games, of which I have hundreds. I wanted an easy way to keep track of what I own, what I've lent out to friends, and what boxed games I still plan to buy.
I'm using an app for the Mac called Delicious Library, it doesn't meet all the above needs, but it does a decent job keeping track of what I own.
I guess, the next step is to buy some sort of large CD/DVD wallet to store my discs, as I do still play my old consoles and I'd like easy access to these without the storage footprint.
If anyone has already made this transition, I'd really be interested in any tips you have for me going forward. Good cases/wallets, storage options etc.
