Everybody needs puzzle games; they fill a void in our hearts. Puyo Puyo Tetris is the first Tetris game in a long while that feels robust. If it were only Tetris, I'd still recommend it, but you get that Puyo Puyo goodness too! There's a bunch of different modes, including ranked multiplayer, and an absurd story campaign. It's Tetris, Puyo Puyo, or even both at the same time!

This game is funny, heartwarming and cute. The art is great, and the dads are smokin'. I really don't think it holds up for more than a single playthrough, but then, I'm not a fan of visual novels. Regardless, this game is worth having in your life.

Fortnite is a loot treadmill, there's no arguing around that. Building and defending your fort, however, is where this game shines. Combat is satisfying and becomes surprisingly deep when you reach the game's tougher challenges.

A game which falls agonizingly short of true brilliance. Prey is notable for being the first game to evoke what it must feel like to become detached from your sense of self. Storytelling and exploration is top notch, while the combat--which the game forces upon you way too often--becomes a slog once the more powerful enemies show up.
