Cool, hadn't seen that, thanks. It doesn't do much for me though. Apart from some links there seemingly not working, there are a bunch of issues watching that way such as:

• can't play like any other video file, e.g. through Plex

• requires an external tool which can have functionality broken or the site go offline

• doesn't support seeking, i.e. you have to watch from start to finish, resuming and re-sync'ing would be a nightmare, etc

• doesn't work with drifting sync which you often find in these cases

• can't see Vinny's tiny face-cam in Minecraft, for instance

• a lot of screen space and video res is lost to Jeff's bunch of border stuff

I much prefer watching a splitscreen video in the style they usually do themselves, e.g. a large feature and its audio with smaller muted views alongside, occasionally swapping out the feature and audio.

Shows like Let's Minecraft and Sea Beasts are posted as individual clips by various cast. If I make single split-screen videos out of them, and these are premium-only videos, where can they be posted? Presumably I shouldn't be dropping them just anywhere as they're meant to be paid content.

@broddity: Might want to check the video quality. Giant Bomb's been ditching high quality in recent years (and re-publishing HD with lower bitrate).

However many years ago, I attempted to update the wiki with an entry for Mercenaries of Astonia. This update was denied as a moderator believed it was only a revision of Astonia 3. This was and is not the case.

Mercenaries of Astonia was the initial game of then computer science student, Daniel Brockhaus, developed as a hobby and means to further his skills. Astonia 3 was the following subscription-model game that shared some of the basic design with Mercenaries of Astonia but was almost entirely unrecognisable sans some superficial visual similarities. For years both games ran concurrently and officially. Both games had their own significant, almost entirely separate communities. Both games had player-run servers after each respective game shutdown officially. One such server still operating is Aranock Online, a further developed version of Mercenaries of Astonia.

It's inappropriate to group the two games as one, e.g. an Astonia 3 player would have no clue what they're looking at when seeing screenshots of Mercenaries of Astonia on the page.

Will it be fixed? There are quite a lot more failures apart from the tiny selection of examples I mentioned previously.
