PixelJunk Eden is really something great. The demo doesn't do it justice, since you only get the very basic first level, which might seem simple or boring. But every level you progress to changes up the mechanics and keeps you on your toes. I got many hours out of that game.

The most interesting tidbit (for me at least) that Alex didn't mention is that this will work with every steam game, even those that don't have controller support, since the steam controller is recognized as a keyboard/mouse, not a game pad.

The Steam Controller is designed to work with all the games on Steam: past, present, and future. Even the older titles in the catalog and the ones which were not built with controller support. (We’ve fooled those older games into thinking they’re being played with a keyboard and mouse.)

I think this is pretty awesome, really want to know how well it works.

What did they gain by announcing what they announced right now?

It might get some people who were on the fence with the next gen systems to wait on buying one day one to see how these Steam Machines end up being. If you're someone who can really only afford (or are interested in buying) one console.

If they wait until next year to announce, a whole bunch of people have just bought new consoles, and might not be interested in buying another. This timing at least allows them to "bookmark" a few more customers who are willing to wait.

The only time I hooked up 6-7 controllers on my PS3 was for Bomberman Ultra a couple times.

@meatsim: Save a $100 and get it on PS4? Or do you prefer the Xbox One?

It's only a 50 dollar different since I would have to get PS+ membership to play multiplayer and I already have a gold membership for 360. Plus I prefer the Xbox controller over the DualShock.

The consensus is that the DualShock 4 is a massive improvement.

Bad Company 2 is my favourite Battlefield of all time.

This right here I approve!

Call me crazy or insane, but I had more fun with Bad Company 2 then Battlefield 3.

You're not crazy, there's plenty of people who agree with you. I'm one of them.

There's a lot of things in BC2 that I had problems with (and BF3 fixed for me) but overall I think BC2 was a better game. I put 500 hours into BC2, its my most played game by a mile.

That said, I'm very excited for BF4.

No doubt it's Quentin Tarantino for me. I love every last one of his movies. And yes, that includes Death Proof. I even love Death Proof.

I also loved Death Proof. Never understood why someone who otherwise likes QT would not find things to enjoy in it. Although I didn't much care for the other half of Grindhouse (Planet Terror).

For me personally, my faves are Tarantino, Danny Boyle, Coen Bros, Richard Linklater, Steven Soderberg, David Fincher, PT Anderson, David Mamet.
