I've got no displeasure for Junpei, I thought he was an ok dude. Good to see him in the latest update to Persona 4 Arena too! Not sure if I follow Akihito x Chie though, Mitsuru x Aki always made more sense. Chie x Steak sounds hot though!
I don't find any issue with this guy making a video about being upset. It's not the first "cool story bro" video on YouTube, and won't be the last. As for Kotaku, blogs like that just annoy me, so I don't read them.
Nice write up! I don't have any preference for either in this series, I enjoyed Wind Waker the most (the art style really hooked me in). I do get that nostalgic feeling when playing the 2D games, the sense of how how similar in style they are to the original (the top down view going from grid to grid/room to room), which is cool.
JoJo's was defiantly my favourite anime of this year, but I give full credit to Kill la Kill too. Both were really entertaining viewing, and a small shout out to Girls und Panzer for at least not turning 100% completely into K-On with Tanks, and being based in a town in the same prefecture as where I live!!!
Nice update! I have a suggestion: upgrade to 6 buttons!
If you decide to go down the MAME route, you'll have access to some of the best fighting games in history. Street Fighter 2/3/4/alpha/etc require 6 buttons, but are a blast to play on arcade controls.
Great start so far, good luck with the rest of the project!
I think you need to have the whole experience to give an accurate review. Of course having opinions is cool along the way, and it's important to have that measurement of improvement/reduction of quality which of course, should be considered in your full review, but I wouldn't try and recommend a game based on one piece of content, especially content such as Walking Dead where each piece of content is so tightly connected to the next.
I remember OnLive being a smidge laggy, then going on to play GaiKai's ME2 demo and being smooth as a baby's bottom. I also like the idea of a digital rental service just like Netflix, if it turns out that that. It'll be perfect for me!
Solid list Vinny! There's a few games I didn't play there, but accrediting games to art is something that sadly a lot of gamers overlook. Even more so is that while people compare them to other mediums, that it's a highly flawed comparison, and I hope that 2014 will help move games and the writing that goes along with it to a more "independant" art.
