Well that sure would murder their independent creative ability. What if Pillars of Eternity but an action-RPG, you know, to open it to a wider audience...
You either die a great studio or you live long enough to see yourself become a present-day Bioware.
I loved origins and egypt. Highly Recommended. DLC's are also great.
If you have things you'd really want to explore in ancient greece, maybe pick up odyssey. For me seeing the pyramids and the old temples was amazing. But if you have a big interest in the Parthenon or the Statue of Apollo, maybe explore that world instead. At the end of the day you're going to be spending 40+ hours at least in a world, it should be one that intrigues you!
Big AC fan, I played through that whole game and even i’m like boyyyyy why would they ever do this. My only thought is that they want to bring people’s attention back to the desmond story line?
Its the last game in the series where he is a major part, and kind of the last to deal with the larger templar/assassin/precursor world beyond footnotes.
People are gonna freak out about that casting choice for ciri but I really couldn't care less, the people who are upset about it bum me out way more than the producers not keeping exactly to the books/games.
Netflix shows usually have high production values but bad scripts and acting. I hope they can overcome that trap with the Witcher series. With Game of Thrones at the end of it's rope, the Witcher is probably the one universe out there that could become the next big fantasy series. Recent GOT seasons have not had very good writing either so the bar isn't set very high.
