OK, for the last time. I never said Dan was racist. I was asking if his bit was, even if it was not his intention at all. Because making fun of foreign names in 2017 and dick jokes are the lowest form of humor there is.
I was not looking to be offended. I was offended. I'm sorry I shared my point of view, I won't do it again.
That's the whole story. It does not need be discussed further. You are freaking me out.
@linkorius: Incentive, yes. Racist, no. When it comes to these things intent matters. its simple, "Dong" in English slang means Penis. That combined with it rhyming is funny to him. Don't say you don't want to be the PC police and then 100% be that.
Point taken, it was insensitive, not racist. I get it. I was offended, glad you guys were not. Can people stop ganging up on me now?
@linkorius: ahh, yes, Dan Ryckert, in addition to being a shit heel, terrible person, abusive individual, person who inflicts harm on his co-workers
is now a racist.
Right. I'd say you're jumping the shark, but that happened whenever he did the 'Dan Ryckert' Lang stunt and the comment section imploded.
When did I ever say that? I said the Dong Song thing was offensive. Maybe, surely, Dan didn't realize it at the time, but I found it was insensitive. I'm sure he didn't mean it, at all! But sometimes, you've got to realize that even though you didn't mean any harm, you offended someone.
Never have I said that Dan Ryckert was racist, because I know he isn't. But his joke was insensitive. Good for you if you weren't offended, I know I was and I just wanted to make sure I was not the only one. There's really not much else to say.
