I started penning a review for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, but quickly evolved into a love letter to one of the most influential games in my life: Metroid Prime. I’ll reference my time with Prime 4 below, but only as a reference point for how special Metroid Prime is. Video games have this unique ability to help us through difficult times. They can often act as a distraction from the horrors of the world, can bring…
Mario , Nathan Drake , and Master Chief are names that are synonymous with Nintendo , Sony , and Microsoft respectively. Whenever one of these console mascots are mentioned gamers worldwide tend to listen. So when Microsoft Game Studios, and 343 Industries (343i) launched Halo 4 in November thousands of gamers sojourned to video game outlets at midnight for their chance to continue the adventures of Master Chief.…
Bastion , Limbo , Shadow Complex , Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 , Braid , and now Dust: An Elysian Tail . Not only does this list compile great XBLA Summer of Arcade releases, but also some of the greatest games released in this current generation of consoles. This year countless launch day disasters, disappointments, and sub-par HD re-releases have plague...

Did not realize how short this game was. I enjoyed my time with it. Going to wait a little while before I go back and complete the second quest. I might pick up Zelda II over the next few days, but that could lead to me trying to complete the whole series, and that could be a costly venture. I've played the majority of the games in the series, but it would be nice just to slog through them all...

Well it is 2013, and that means a whole new year of gaming is ahead of me. Started off this year playing a lot of Call of Duty Black Ops II. I am really digging the campaign so far. The changes they made to the story structure is a welcome relief and I look forward to playing that more. I picked up The Legend of Zelda for my 3ds, and I am almost finished it already. I may tackle the second ques...
