I thought about this thread in light of Austin moving on recently and thought It would be nice to post my current collection. I actually have quite a lot more models but they're not displayed right now. Just wanted to say thanks to Austin for basically getting me into this hobby.

I've seen a few series, 0080, 0083, 00 and now I'm watching Unicorn because it has my Jesta model in it, although I wouldn't say it's the best series I've watched, still fun because of the modern designs.

Finished all the weapons for my model today, just got to do some detailing now.

@obsideondarman: Honestly, one that you like the look of or think is the coolest, and one that is High Grade because they're pretty simple or even RG if you're up to it. The more newly released ones have better molding and poseability at a lower price point also.

So I finished making my first Gunpla. I really enjoyed it. I'm surprised they're so cheap. How can I justify spending like $60 on a tiny Warhammer unit now? I always remember seeing the display windows of all these and they all looked the same, but theres actually so much diversity and the building process is more in depth than I thought it was. Already thinking about my 2nd one after I line and top coat this one! Only thing I don't like about this model is that the hand is a bit loose and the gun falls straight down without the 2nd arm supporting it.

Maybe the RX78-2 Origin Revive model that just came out last year! Or one of the new Build Fighters models. The models from Iron Blooded Orphans that @rpwll posted have that really militaristic style I like.

So I sliced a small amount of my thumb tip off while cutting back a particularly tough nub. Be careful fellow newbies. Really got to find a comfortable way to use my hobby knife without it facing me... It just feels natural that way. Haha

I literally just went out and bought this exact kit as my first Gunpla because of your photo. This hobby seems way cheaper than I thought. I even picked it over the Gundam Unicorn HGUC model. They're both from Unicorn so I will probably grab the other eventually. I haven't even watched Unicorn but I did remember hearing its more modern and has dope gundam designs and they were right. It's not too flashy too which I love. Any tips for this specific model?

Well, I wouldn't let my kid have a Halo poster -- not because I'm ignorant when it comes to videogames, but because I'd rather he keep his room classy and Halo is not that. My rooms have always been bare, and I've never understood why some people seem to think decking their walls out with a hundred posters makes it look better.

I kind of feel like you people shouldn't push tastes onto their kids too much, especially when what kid cares about class? Posters with long hair metal bands, and halo and racing car beds. None of these things is classy but do they need to be? They're kids, if my kid wants a racing car bed I'd be quite happy to oblige lol
