I don't write as often as I used to, but thanks for highlighting my blog post nonetheless!

I didn't broadcast my blog widely to the forums but thanks for the highlight on this week's spotlight!

Props to Alex for his attempt to say Under-Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] during the EVO news bit. I know the east coast aren't quite as keen to the scientists in the FG scene but it's cool Alex enjoys watching EVO.

As for MK11 not included in the EVO lineup this year, unfortunately EVO does not disclose their decisions why one fighting game makes it in over others. There's a lot of speculation being talked about why but we'll never really know.

Anyways, keep up the great work Beast Crew!

@slag: Thanks! As for your question, I'd say EOV is far from ideal as a starting point. EOIV is where I would tell folks to start, as that was my first EO game. The Untold games are also good starting points, playing through the classic mode, not the hand-holdy story modes on those games.

Awesome write-up! I loved reading the optimistic side and how much SFV still matters with you and the FGC against the mounds of not-so-great talk the game received, even if Capcom deserved all the criticisms for their continual mishaps of the game over the year. Hopefully now that it's stabilized that Capcom can build some goodness with it as it plans to support it for the long haul (for now).

Thanks for embedding that clip of SamSho V Special on why that game is a FG cult classic. I heard a lot of things about it, but now know why. That was neat to watch.
