I doubt money is the sole issue here. I don't want to speculate, but I've sat in a lot of underpaid jobs because I didn't like the uncertainty of leaving for something unknown.

I don't think there's an amount that a community could raise that would convince them to stay.

The standardisation of control schemes is bad. Games should still pull an MGS3 and make you hold hold two shoulder buttons and a face button to ADS and fire. Modern games limit verbs and methods of interaction by all using the same vocabulary.

@giant_gamer: Lol you could not be showing your whole ass more if you tried.

'Abortion doesn't affect me, so I don't have an opinion about it' is the statement of somebody who has never been the target of discrimination or unjust treatment.

Just because your charmed life has prevented you from ever empathising with other people, or god forbid, thinking critically about the world that you live in, your limited perspective doesn't get to dictate the breadth of ours.

Also, anyone who tried to talk about Iraq in a passive tense is either an idiot or was involved in making it happen. 1 million people were murdered and the best you can do is that the wounds are fresh and a lot of people were hurt on both sides? Is that you Dick? Does Liz know you're posting?

Buddy if we gave the soldiers who were actually in Fallujah a "fair shake" they would be rotting in a cell.

Anyone whose main concern about the war crimes game is that reviewers make sure to tell them if doing the war crimes feels good is already looking for reasons to write off actual criticisms of the work.

The war crimes game is going to be bad because it's about the US somehow not having done all those war crimes. This is not a complex idea to understand.

Underground 2 absolutely rules. If EA has any hope of reviving the series, they need to make a THPS 1+2 style reboot and capitalise on that burgeoning Bush-era nostalgia that seems to be all the rage these days.

Bit out of left-field but I'd recommend Diablo 3. The switch version is pretty good and me and my partner have had an awesome time running through that game with a TV show in the background.

It presses scratches that compulsive itch in the brain that gets a lot of people into mobile games, which I don't mean as a criticism.

I firmly believe that Gears of War Judgment is the tightest and best-designed Gears of War game. Gears Tactics is also better than most of the mainline series.

@fisk0: I'm gonna say the unpopular thing:

They poisoned the well with NFS 2015. I don't think dumb FMV plays anymore, either in an ironic or deliberately unironic sense (ala Most Wanted).

I think the most fertile ground for them is to make a new Underground game and appeal directly to everybody's burgeoning early oughties nostalgia.

@gtxforza: Personally I don't love that idea. MGS4 is such a PS3 game. Those loading screens? That mix of high-poly models with relative low-res textures and minimal shading? Mwah, that's videogames in 2008. The technical limitations of that system are part of the pomp and grandeur of MGS4. I want to watch Snake smoke a cigarette for 10 minutes. Any kind of remaster on more powerful hardware would make that less dumb, and therefore less awesome.
