Yeah the Video Games aren't a narrative medium that Jeff was implying is kind of wack. His opinions on individual game's story are subjective and valid but to say whole cloth it's not a good narrative medium just comes off incredibly dismissive.

I don't disagree that most AAA games narrative can be formulaic, similar to Marvel movies, but citing God of War and (it really seemed to me he was dancing around mentioning) The Last of Us when talking about games that don't take risks with their stories is really weird. TLOU Part 2 is probably one of riskiest narrative decision of any game this generation.

Weirdest thing for me is that Xbox apparently doesn't have any announced first party games for 2021 / 2022.

Outside of Halo and Psychonaughts 2.

Everything else is Series X and PC which they've said now multiple times won't start dropping for 2 years.

@freedo: Demon's Souls isn't a launch game. It doesn't have a release date.

Thanks Jason & Alex! Been waiting for some extended gameplay, game looks insane. Been awhile since I played an open world checkbox don't think I'll be too bothered by it, I feel right at home in AC II.

Really like the format, the more audio content the better, it's often all I can consume!

I honestly feel the Lesner steroid stuff isn't that big a deal for the WWE. Their drug policy is very strict and is meant to protect the performers who work most nights, travel 300 days a year and are susceptible to pain medication abuse or steroids abuse. Suspending part-timers doesn't help anyone, presumably anyone in that situation has the money to look after themselves medically and if they choose to use steroids to get into ring shape that's their choice. If the Rock wanted to come back for another match and juiced to look good in the ring I wouldn't really care, it's entertainment after all; you hear of actors doing it quite a bit for movie roles.

I feel it would have been a huge overreaction to remove him from the cover of the game, I do agree I'd rather a guy like Rollins or Owens etc. but it's not like he did something truly deplorable (like a lot of other legends who have been on the game's cover) and he for sure would get the game more exposer than other wrestlers, he's the biggest draw in UFC and WWE.

I agree with everything else though, they are treading water with Lesner, Orton shouldn't have been working hurt and shouldn't have been dealt that shit hand of a match.
