I agree with Jeff and I wish I didn't. One of my favorite games is Ghouls'n Ghosts on the Genesis, and I preordered this immediately after I saw it was a thing, and I'm pretty disappointed. I saw how it looked in the trailers, I was just hoping I'd be swayed somehow or at least they'd have some way to tweak the graphics. No.
They would have been far better off making another Ultimate Ghosts'n Goblins style game or like what they just did with Mega Man in my opinion.
This really caught me off guard. Dan's definitely been one of the main reasons I keep coming back here. It's always exciting to see what he might be up to next, so I hope, without actually checking, whatever he's doing is something I can follow related to video games and not wrestling. Will really miss him as part of the team.
This series has been the only reason I second guess my ideas from years ago on how to make a solid Altered Beast reboot. Sega if you're reading this please contact me
I'm gonna say VR Troopers sounds better on actual Genesis hardware. Also they never checked out the story mode, it was robbed. There's a talking dog with numbers behind it!
I would have liked to see this go back to 1977. The games that rattled around in my head immediately came out before I was born (the year before this list starts).
I'm actually bored watching any console games before the NES being played, but even some 2600 games really exude a styyyyyle beyond their time. But only a few in this site would be able to do that without doing some seriously comprehensive research beforehand. Like probably Jeff and Mento. Good job on the past 25 years, though!
