I feel like this was overrated in the same way God of War was for game stories. Old, tired-ass themes that I've seen countless times before, yet comic book/gamer types thought it was something fresh and new. And.. I guess it could be if you're that restricted in the types of entertainment you consume. The movie was fine, I was entertained. Visually more interesting than the average comic book movie. Zazie Beetz was the best part.
Heavy Bullets and Void Bastards are a couple unconventional games I would recommend. They both have roguelike elements, with randomly generated levels/paths, but are very different in visual style, tone and gameplay.
I'm not usually into roguelikes, but these two games had interesting visual styles or gameplay mechanics(Heavy Bullets requires you to collect your spent ammo).
I couldn't help myself and checked out footage of the demo. The game is definitely looking good and I'm torn on playing this on PS4 or waiting for the PC release.
